Article II
Subject of Association's Activities
 
2.1.  

Association wants to establish optimum conditions for development of activities of public telecommunication network operators in the Czech Republic. Association protects common interests of its members and Association members as well as individual aims of its members if they are not contradictory to the common ones. because optimum conditions for development of business activities of Association members are based on open competition, the general aim of the Association is support and protection of fair and opened telecommunication market in the Czech Republic
 

2.2.  

Association members shall take any and all steps and will strive to create basic fair and equal conditions for economic competition in fixed and mobile telecommunications.
 

2.3.  

To reach aim of Association activities, Association shall especially:
a)  

Support and if authorized, protect interests of its members in development and operation of public telecommunication networks in the Czech Republic;

b)  

Carry out research and analyses of problems of business in public telecommunication networks in competitive environment, regulatory rules in public telecommunication networks and telecommunication legislation in the Czech Republic, the EU countries and other countries;

c)  

Establish expert committees for search and solution of problems relating to operation of public telecommunication networks and for cooperation with research and scientific institutions in the Czech Republic as well as abroad;

d)  

Prepare proposals of solution and standpoints of legislative and regulatory issues relating to operation of public telecommunication networks and provision of public telecommunication services for state authorities, prepare conceptual works on the National Telecommunication Policy and preparation of technical standards;

e)  

Take part in activities of advisory bodies appointed by state and local administration, especially in telecommunications;

f)  

Organize exchange of experience and information among its members;

g)  

Prepare seminars and organize international exchange of experience;

h)  

Protect common interest of its members when negotiating with representatives of the Government, political parties and movements, interest groups, state and local administration, national and international institutions;

i)  

In cooperation with third parties, legal bodies, individuals and state administration bodies prepare and implement projects aimed to support and development of telecommunications networks and services.

 

2.4.  

Association cooperates with similar international organizations, with bodies of International Telecommunication Union and bodies of the European Union for electronic communications.
 

2.5.  

Association cooperates with other associations and entities acting in the electronic communications sector.
 

2.6.  

Association cooperates with entities that do not operate telecommunication networks but whose activities closely relate to this area, such as providers of telecommunication services, technology vendors, construction unions for network constructions etc. Such entities may become associated members of the Association.
 

2.7.  

Association is base on democratic principles.
 

2.8.  

Association shall not perform any activities that could be considered breaching economic competition and opened telecommunication market.
