APVTS assist and encourage market liberalization a competition, protects members interests APVTS represents telecommunications industry to key government and regulatory bodies. APVTS forms a platform for discussion among incumbent and alternative operators. APVTS projects contribute to the customers protection (APVTS Standards). OUR MISSION In order to meet the objective, the Association: Assists and encourages market liberalization and competition Assists and protects members interests - the development and operation of public telecommunications networks in the Czech Republic Represents the telecommunications operators to key government and regulatory bodies Identifies and participates in solution of projects on electronic communications sector development Maintains a forum for networking and business development throughout the members Creates an information platform for members APVTS has become a forum for discussions due to the fact that it associates local alternative operators as well as the dominant operator. Over the past years, the APVTS strengthen its position as a partner of the state administration in the liberalization process. APVTS TAKES PART IN FORMING OF OPEN AND FAIR MARKET APVTS is taking part in the new Act implementation by participation in the secondary law formulation APVTS has worked out "Standards" for the "976 lines" services that considerably increased the services transparency and security APVTS ´s daughter company, the Czech Number Portability Administrative Center (CNPAC) has been successfully providing the Number Portability service for the fixed network operators since March 2003
